A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck New York City and encompassing locations on Friday.
The epicentre of the tremor was close to Lebanon, New Jersey, about 40 miles (64km) west of New York Town.
It is really the region’s most important earthquake in decades.
New York’s governor, Kathy Hochul, mentioned that infrastructure in the location was being reviewed.
The city’s mayor, Eric Adams, included: “We do not have any reports of significant impacts or injuries”.
