We have been on the beach front when it transpired, and irrespective of the chaos and the darkness, it was crystal clear that as just one primary group of migrants emerged from the dunes and billed in direction of the sea, dragging their inflatable boat with them, a next team quickly joined them from further more south. This second team experienced no boat of their own, and appeared, to us, to be acting on the spur of the minute, presumably hoping to capture a trip on the other group’s inflatable.
