A top AI researcher has publicly named out Elon Musk for his “blatantly false” AI predictions as the clash in between the two continues immediately after a week of back again-and-forth.

In a Sunday submit on Musk-owned X, Meta main AI scientist Yann LeCun claimed that he disagreed with Elon Musk’s treatment of scientists and tactic to the AI hype.

Musk has manufactured these predictions. In April, he reported that AGI, or artificial general intelligence smarter than the most smart human, would get there “probably future year, within two years.”

LeCun also disagreed with how Musk treats his scientists, pointing out that investigate requires publications and openness to progress.
