Huge anti-govt protest rally grips Tel Aviv

Tens of thousands of Israelis have protested in Tel Aviv demanding a Gaza ceasefire deal and the return of hostages held by Hamas.

Organisers said it was the largest anti-govt protest since the Gaza war began. Online video reveals scuffles and people today remaining arrested as police – some on horseback – experimented with to transfer protesters off the city’s most important highway.

The rallies have come to be weekly situations and protesters also want new elections. Hostages’ kinfolk were among the the protesters – about 120 hostages are continue to held in Gaza, some of them useless.

Hamas and its allies seized them when they attacked southern Israel on 7 October, killing about 1,200 persons – primarily civilians.

Gaza wellness authorities say Israel’s devastating offensive has killed much more than 37,400 men and women.
